The years 1991–2005 were spent managing the publishing programme for Armour Publishing Pte Ltd, a local Christian publishing company which she co-founded.     Hwa Yung is the Bishop of the Methodist Church in Malaysia. He has been a minister of the Methodist Church in Malaysia since 1981. During this time he served as a pastor, and lecturer and Principal of the Malaysia Theological Seminary (STM). He was also the founding Director of the Centre for the Study of Christianity in Asia, Trinity Theological College, Singapore. He is engaged in various ministries internationally, including being the Chairman of the Board of the Oxford Centre for the Mission Studies, Oxford, and a member of the Congress Management Committee for the 3rd Lausanne Congress for World Evangelization, Cape Town 2010.
